Quotes from Modern Family

S4 E22 Manny in voiceover:

“What qualifies someone as a hero? Obviously a hero has to be someone who we respect, a person we look up to, a person who is generous of spirit, who is willing to grow and learn. Maybe it is the person who you love most in this world or the guy who makes the most out of life, no matter what anyone thinks. For me though, the hero in my family is my family because of who we are together.”

S4E24
"So, dear Alex, who l love so dearly, who's probably too much like me for her own good, don't be afraid to break the rules. You never know what might happen."

“They say the important thing in life isn’t the destination; it’s the journey. The challenges you face along the way. The unexpected twists and turns. The disappointments you overcome.”Manny Delgado (Rico Rodriguez)

phubbing

Albert Einstein once said, " I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interaction. The world will have a generation of idiots."  Maybe his concern is really happening right now in this generation.

"Phubbing" as a pervasive and annoying behavior is the act of ignoring the person in front of you in favor of your smart phone.

It is a new word coined from "phone" and "snub"( which means to treat sb. rudely, especially by intentionally ignoring them when you meet"

Are you a smartphone addict who finds it hard not to use your smartphone or have you ever been phubbed?
Well, I find myself sort of a phubber sometimes and decide to put down my phone in social events.

In the following website (http://stopphubbing.com/),
you can download a poster for your store or write an e-mail as a phubbing intervention to help your friends or customers to break the bad habit and bring their conversation back.
